In many areas around Australia, homelessness is an issue. Sleeping rough is something that can be solved if we open our eyes and hearts and minds and use school halls to allow people to sleep in a dry and warm place. Not every school and not 24/7.

All it would take is for a school principal to initiate allowing at first a small number of people who are homeless to use their halls. There would be controls around drug and alcohol free but this can be solved. Other community groups (Orange Sky, Salvos) would know where a group of people are and cater accordingly. I appreciate this would be different but why not. Have a certain cap of people who can enter the hall each night from say 9pm and they are asked to leave at say 6am.
