My idea is to develop a program that would assist hospitals and GPs in the identification of people that are feeling suicidial "Depression" or are in a suicidial state.

The program would work by picking up on the keywords associated with depression coming from the patient speach or writing. After the program has finished analysing the information, it would display for the doctors or nurses the stage of depression (using colours to determine level and risk) the patient is dealing with or attempting to hide. The staff can then make sure that the patient recieves the correct amount of care and does not fall through the cracks.

This would assist with the ongoing problem of depression, which affects 1 million adults each year in Australia and is a leading cause of suicide. At least seven people committing suicide each day.
