My idea is to encourage the incorporation of in depth Nutritional Education and Research in Medical Schools to equip doctors with the tools to understand the relationship between diet and disease.

There is growing evidence that nutrition and diet can assist in combatting chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune disorders such as eczema and psoriasis, as well as behavioural disorders such as ADHD. It is important for our doctors, who are on the front line in healthcare, to understand the potential therapeutic and long term benefits of food nutrition on our health. Nutritional Education is insufficiently researched and taught in the medical curriculum in Australia and around the world.
