Our idea is for the Government to announce a Decade of National Leadership and Commitment to eliminate violence in Australian society which is at crisis levels.

In the manner of the Sustainable Development Goals, the Australian Government, supported by the Opposition and other parties, would declare a decade of action by government to eliminate violence from our societies. This would include: -a honest and open national discussion about violence; -adequate resourcing of existing anti-violence and rehabilitation services; -increased programs to educate the young and eliminate violence-supportive attitudes; -programs within communities to spread a culture of respect and a no-tolerance attitude towards violence in all its forms.
